1-car Crash Kills Woman On S.c. 9 In Buford

A Lancaster woman died Sunday after a single-vehicle wreck on S.C. 9 near Heyward Hough Road in Buford. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 60-year-old Debbie Roberts. She was transported to Springs Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Lynette Walker. An autopsy was performed Monday, but no results were released. Roberts worked in Lancaster attorney Rick Chandler’s office for more than 30 years.
