While the Italian restaurant chain Piatti started in 1987 in California, after 27 years serving in Cherry Creek North, the Denver location has become a local institution. But the restaurant will close permanently sometime between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, according to general manager Susan Klos. After 27 years working with the same landlord, Klos said her team was told to vacate by Jan.
