MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Three people are being inducted into the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame this year, including legendary Tonight Show bandleader Doc Severinsen. Severinsen was leader of The Tonight Show Band for 30 years, and is a Grammy Award winner. The other two inductees in the class of 2014 are singer Bobby Vee, who recorded 38 Top 100 hits from 1959 to 1970, and Sig Hansen, the star and technical adviser of the documentary TV series "Deadliest Catch" on the Discovery Channel. The Hall of Fame in Minot honors people of Scandinavian descent in North America who have achieved greatness in their field or who have made significant contributions to the betterment of mankind.Read more on NewsOK.com
