No one was injured in a large scrap metal fire at Mike's Auto Salvage, 8804 Garfield Road in Kirtland on Dec. 4. The Kirtland Fire Department responded to the incident at 7:40 p.m. The department said vehicles in the process of being scrapped caught fire and a total of 32 vehicles burned.
