Adams To Celebrate Triplets' Win In Ben's Beginners Cooking Contest

KINGSPORT — Thanks to a video contest win by the Roberts triplets, Adams Elementary School will be getting a $30,000 cafeteria makeover to include work on the noisy room's acoustics.And today at 9 a.m., contest sponsor Uncle Ben's and New York celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson are to throw Danielle and brothers Benjamin and Casey a hometown celebration at the school.The 9-year-old triplets won one of five grand prizes in the Ben's Beginners Cooking Contest, winning the $30,000 for the school to use for a noise-reducing cafeteria makeover.Aside from the cafeteria win and party, the family will receive $15,000 for the win.The Adams students, age 9, and their parents made a video — with a cameo appearance by interim Adams Principal Destiny Clark — that was one of 25 finalists in the contest.
