Developer Joel Testa originally envisioned a second tower of condominiums when the first Northside Lofts was built on the northern edge of downtown.Testa changed his plans to a 120-room, 10-story hotel to help meet the need for new hotel rooms downtown. He then bumped up the number of rooms to 146.Akron City Council approved a revised development agreement with Testa on Monday that reflects his new vision for his property on Furnace Street across from Luigi’s restaurant.
