Few outward signs exist that show United Supermarkets officially tucked under the umbrella of Albertsons. But Albertsons closed its $385 million acquisition of the Lubbock-based grocery company as 2013 ended, though a Federal Trade Commission vote to bless the merger still is to come. “It’s my understanding that we operate now as a wholly owned subsidiary of Albertsons LLC,” United spokesman Eddie Owens said Monday.
