Kai Pfaffenbach/Reuters According to reports, Amazon is considering using 3D body scans to determine an exact clothing fit for consumers. A study showed that after undergoing a 3D body scan a person is more likely to have a negative self-image. Using 3D body scans in a retail context could impact sales, as consumers in a dissatisfied state-of-mind may be less inclined to purchase clothing. Amazon is reportedly looking for people who are willing to have their bodies scanned in 3Din order to track and measure subtle changes in their sizes and shapes.
