James Lankford pretty much preached to the choir with a legislative update for the Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association Tuesday night at Will Rogers Theatre. Lankford talked about the federal budget process, such as it is, the Iran nuclear deal, which he opposes, and the GOP's war on what it considers unnecessary, overreaching, unconstitutional and unconscionable regulations of business and the environment. A few other not-so-civil adjectives were heard muttered in the pews. Lankford, previously a Southern Baptist evangelism specialist, came close to getting amened several times: Every time he mentioned that only 16 months remain until the election of a new president.Read more on NewsOK.com
