Android Wear Update Closes Gap With Apple Watch

Today, Google is launching a new Android Wear update that brings its functionality closer to that of the Apple Watch. According to a post on the Google Blog, the Android Wear will be getting Wi-Fi support. The watch will also be getting "always-on apps" in addition to its always-on screen. You no longer need to use your hands to check your notifications, as flicking your wrist scrolls through the stream.
