Anonymous Buyers Acquire Historic Neon Signs Along South Nevada In Colorado Springs

South Nevada Avenue's past is starting to give way to its future.Two 1950s-era neon signs that once invited travelers to the Chief Motel and Stardust Lodge along South Nevada in Colorado Springs have been sold to anonymous buyers, who plan to eventually display them publicly, said developer Walt Harder, who heads one of three groups tackling the corridor's revitalization.The signs already have been removed; Harder had acquired them when his group bought the Chief, 1624 S.
