A string of mail thefts in the City View area has police investigating, according to an Amarillo Police Department news release. On Tuesday, officers were called to a theft in the area. Authorities obtained a video showing what appears to be a light-colored SUV pulling up to a mailbox at night and an occupant taking mail out of the box. A witness told officers the vehicle might have been occupied by two females. It is thought several mail thefts have occurred in the area, but only one police report has been made. read more
