The Nashville Predators have signed left wing Brendan Leipsic (LIGHP-sihk), their third-round draft selection in 2012, to a three-year, entry-level contract. Leipsic, 19, led the Western Hockey League with 49 goals in 68 games in Portland, and he also had 71 assists.

Rob Ryan figures his firing in Dallas will help him relate to a Saints defense humbled by a historically bad season.
