Appraisals Of Colorado Springs Land In Proposed Swap Differ

Long-sought appraisals on parcels in Colorado Springs' proposed land swap with The Broadmoor were released Wednesday, raising eyebrows among some critics questioning inconsistent approaches to valuing the properties. Questions centered on why a Bear Creek parcel that would be used as open space instead was appraised as development property, while a piece of land on Strawberry Hill that would be developed instead was appraised as open space. The city released the documents Wednesday, just two days before 4th Judicial District Judge Larry E.
