Ben Affleck has officially retired as Batman, and the actor confirmed it personally on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Affleck appeared on Jimmy Kimmel last night and Jimmy began by asking him about the reports and announcements that he will no longer be playing Batman, a role he has played since 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In response, Affleck said "I tried to direct a version of it, and worked with a really good screenwriter but just kinda couldn’t come up with a version…that couldn’t crack it, and so I thought it was like, you know, time to let someone else take a shot at it.
