Benchmark Program Takes Aim At Helping Michigan Wineries

(AP) — A new benchmarking program is designed to help Michigan's wineries and vineyards increase profits. The Traverse City Record-Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/1IOS0IX ) Traverse City-based North Coast Ag Advisors, Farm Credit East and Greenstone Farm Credit Services this month launched the Michigan Winery & Vineyard Benchmark Program of Michigan. The Federal Trade Commission voted Tuesday 3-2 to ban measures known as noncompete agreements, which bar workers from jumping to or starting competing companies for a prescribed period of time.
