KINGSPORT — Big Coal officially hit the reset button on Monday. With Republican Donald Trump in the White House and Democrat Barack Obama out, the Virginia Coal and Energy Alliance (VCEA) began turning the page on what it hopes will be better days for the coal industry. “What a difference a year makes,” Jeff Taylor, VCEA chairman and treasurer of Omega Holdings, told coal operators and other coal advocates at the start of the group’s annual meeting held at the MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center.
