This Valentine Give the Gift of Cherished Memories

According to the National Retail Federation, www.nrf.com, Americans will spend $17.6 billion on Valentine’s Day this year. This is equivalent to about $126 per person who’s celebrating the holiday, and makes Valentine’s Day the second biggest gift giving holiday. Men spend on average $169, which is almost twice as much as what women will spend.

Super Bowl Thank You

As Super Bowl Sunday looms nearby, I am reminded of the frenzy surrounding sports and the main day. I am not a sports fan but my significant other is. This is probably a typical scenario in a lot of households where the husband loves and enjoys his sports and the wife is just a bystander. And, there is probably nothing more perfect than a beer and watching a sports game on TV, while the wife is busy preparing dinner. What the Big day doesn’t focus on is what the wife is doing so the husband and his friends could enjoy the game and festivities.

The Love Hate Thing

Recently, an online article mentioned the most hated companies in America, which includes, in third place, AT&T, second – American Airlines, and topping the list, bada bada bada ... Facebook. Yup, the second biggest site on the internet, which boasts 800 million users, is also the most hated.

Finders Keepers?

What would you do if you found a $100 bill in an empty elevator that’s propelling you to the eleventh floor? Answer quickly, because the next elevator “ding” could be that person looking for that bill. Pocket it? Tell the secretary you found money and let her deal with it? Post a note on the elevator to have the person contact you about a lost item in the elevator, hoping that it wouldn’t be reclaimed so you could keep it?

Finding Meaning in a Dream

A couple days ago, I was strolling with two friends along a brick-paved promenade, shrouded with willow trees on our left and on our right was a calm and pristine river. There were people sitting along the river banks soaking in the warm Spring sun, people walking their pets, kids chasing each other and couples enjoying each other’s company.

Dating Race

I'm Asian with shimmering, slick black hair, light chocolate eyes, full, pouty lips, vanilla complexion and a slender build. Since you don’t know any differently, I’m a hot Asian chick. (smiley face) Let’s leave it at that and move on to the point I’m trying to make -- the fact that most people see that and nothing else. That race sometimes becomes the primary factor for selecting relationships. It seems more often than not, an Asian will seek a non-Asian.

The Omnipresence of Facebook

Facebook is still the IT thing; it’s connected to everything from movies to surveys, research and statistics, including one that says one in five divorces involves some mention of Facebook. As the article stated, http://www.wopular.com/survey-facebook-related-divorces-rise, Facebook is used for verbal attacks against the ex-spouse, to connect with past love or new interests or as a snooping tool to point out a spouse’s bad behavior. Yet, the use of the internet as a cheating and stalking mechanism isn’t new information.
