The grant money from the Texas Workforce Commission will assist the ice cream maker and a related company as they try to help the Brenham economy recover from a series of blows to its industrial sector. The funds allow Blinn to train 639 existing Blue Bell employees and 57 new ones in safety, welding, electronics, refrigeration, robotics, pneumatics, manufacturing processes and other topics, according to a news release from the college.
