Boone Blanks D-b In Lady Indians' Softball Home Opener

KINGSPORT — The ringing of metal bats returned to Indian Highlands Park on Thursday afternoon, but the Dobyns-Bennett Lady Indians softball team fell 8-0 in their first home game of the year against Daniel Boone. The Tribe (3-3, 0-1 Big 7 Conference) got jumped on early, allowing three runs in the first inning. Pitcher Nickolette Ferguson picked up the win and six strikeouts for the Lady Trailblazers, even though she got in a jam in both the second and third innings.
