BOONE, N.C. — It was a day worth noting for Daniel Boone’s cross country teams. Competing in the Class of the Classes, a unique event that scores the top eight in each class and points combined for team finishes, Boone claimed the boys title on Saturday and the Lady Trailblazers finished second. Four freshmen placed for the Trailblazers: Conner Wingfield (first), Austin Mallory (second), Jordan Allen (fourth) and Gavin Leonard (seventh).
