Coach Matt Gruhler credited his team’s zone and man defenses in part for holding the Chieftains to 10 of 31 shooting from 3-point range in the Storm’s nonleague victory. It’s the Storm’s first over River in Gruhler’s five-year tenure as head coach. While Skyview began the game on a 10-0 run, River pulled within one with 2 minutes to go.
