WHISTLER, British Columbia — From 7,100 feet atop Blackcomb Mountain, the river rapids below are just a thread glinting at the bottom of a deep green gorge. The boulders look plenty big, though, and seriously lumpy. That could be an issue, should my zipline harness suddenly give way.
