Some 20 building trades unions donated more than $7,000 in Meijer gift cards to help victims of child abuse and their families, as part of an annual tradition.The Greater Detroit Building Trades unions Friday donated the $7,450 in gift cards to Care House, which is Macomb County's child advocacy center, to be used for a variety of ways, such as providing emergency food, clothing or other items, holiday gifts, gas cards and other miscellaneous needs.
