California Seeks To Remove Toxic Chemicals From Consumer Goods

California took steps to reduce the toxins found in furniture, mattresses and building supplies Thursday, when regulators announced they would pressure manufacturers to eliminate chemicals known to cause cancer that have long been used as fire retardants.
