ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Cameron Yoe senior receiver Aaron Sims caught six passes, three of them for touchdowns, as the Yoemen won the 3A Division I state championship Thursday with a 70-40 victory over Mineola at AT&T Stadium. Sims, the offensive MVP of the game with 153 receiving yards, was set up by senior quarterback Reid Nickerson, who threw for 311 yards and five touchdowns. The Yellow Jacket special teams created one more score for the Yoemen on a fumbled kick return early in the third quarter that set up a 19-yard touchdown run by Smith, his longest run of the night.
