Steve Turner is the new executive director of History Colorado.Provided by History Colorado It would be easy to see Steve Turner’s move into the top job at History Colorado as the end of a long, and sometimes rocky, transition for the state agency. In the past three years, History Colorado has a moved into a massive, new home in downtown Denver, reorganized its board of directors from top to bottom and taken on a partner and adviser-in-chief in Patty Limerick, the well-known author and professor who was appointed state historian in January. More than that, History Colorado has gotten its financial house in order.
