Carowinds To Close Wooden Thunder Road Roller Coaster

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Carowinds says it will close the Thunder Road wooden roller coaster on July 26. The amusement park near Charlotte says it will tear down the ride as part of a $50 million renovation plan. The roller coaster goes through both North Carolina and South Carolina and lasts more than two minutes, reaching speeds of 45 mph.Read more on NewsOK.com
