Castro Will Compete To Lead Foreign Affairs Panel

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) “will announce this week that he will compete for the chairmanship of the powerful House Foreign Affairs Committee, in an effort aimed at recapturing a key position for the party’s progressive wing after years of centrist leadership,” the Washington Post reports.
