Try these hiker-only Colorado trails to avoid mountain bikers

There are so many fun ways to enjoy the great outdoors in Colorado, but it’s not always easy to share. It can be alarming to have a mountain biker or horseback rider suddenly interrupt your saunter on a trail (and vice versa).
So here’s a small list of Front Range trails that are exclusively for hikers (not counting the occasional dog or adventure cat). Enjoy.

Avanti will open a $4 million food hall on Vail Mountain in 2025

Avanti Food & Beverage is bringing its third food hall to Vail Mountain skiers and snowboarders.
The Denver-based business and Vail Mountain announced on Tuesday that they are making a joint $4 million investment to build an Avanti food hall next year in place of Larkspur Restaurant, which has operated in the Golden Peak base area for the past 25 years.

 

Vail quietly planning major upgrades and additions, including gondolas, lifts and restaurants

The flagship of the Vail Resorts ski empire has big plans for the next decade, according to a new master development document filed with the White River National Forest.
The proposed improvements on Vail Mountain include the construction of a third gondola, the replacement of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, adding several new lifts and upgrading or replacing others. Also on the drawing boards are two new restaurants and a small base in West Lionshead.
