Charleston Closed To Incoming Traffic In Light Of Heavy Rain

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Charleston was closed to incoming traffic Saturday as torrential rains soaked South Carolina, washing out bridges, flooding roads and leaving some motorists stranded as flood waters engulfed their cars."Where we normally are dealing with flooding for a few hours, we're dealing with it in days here," CharlestonPolice Chief Greg Mullen told The Associated Press.
