From Staff ReportsHailey Baskeyfield, 10, was introduced Wednesday as the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals 2015 Oklahoma Champion Child. Accompanied by Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel and 2014 Miss Oklahoma Alex Eppler, she arrived to a chorus of cheers and applause at the Waterford Marriott hotel. Hailey, who lives in Noble, was born with, Jarcho-Levin syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that is characterized by malformations of the chest cavity, ribs and thorax, affecting her ability to breathe normally.
