A documentary on the 2018 murders of a Frederick woman and her two children, killed by her husband —  Christopher Watts — who was the father of the two girls, is now being shown on Netflix. American Murder: The Family Next Door, a story of a familicide which gained international attention, makes its Netlfix premiere today. “Using raw, firsthand footage, this documentary examines the disappearance of Shanann Watts and her children, and the terrible events that followed,” according to Netflix. On August 13, 2018, Watts strangled his pregnant wife in their home and then drove her body, along with their two daughters, 3-year-old Celeste and 4-year-old Bella, to a rural Weld County oil site.
