Ameren files for rate reduction that would lower average bill by $1 a month

The company said it has filed for its sixth reduction in electric-delivery rates — this time seeking an overall $7.22 million decrease.

COLLINSVILLE — Ameren Illinois customers stand to save just over a dollar a month on their power bills next year under the company's latest rate plan filed Thursday with the Illinois Commerce Commission.
