Vernon Township High School students acknowledged October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month and called for a pink out, during the football game against Mount Olive. Vernon football players wore pink socks, gloves and headbands. Vernon Cheerleaders set aside their blue and gold uniforms for pink and black work-out sweats and pink headbands. Students in the audience wore pink T-shirts and face paint.
