It was a fitting moment after Bogert put even more trust than usual in his three-year starter to bring home one last championship in their final season. McGinnis scored two touchdowns while also wreaking havoc on defense to lead the second-ranked Chargers to a 37-14 victory over district rival and 10th-ranked Cushing in the Class 3A state championship Friday at Pioneer Stadium. “We put the ball in his hands a lot more tonight than we have in the past,” said Bogert, who is retiring with three championships as the Chargers’ head coach.Read more on NewsOK.com
