Read the full article on AICN An extended version of THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG will be arriving on home video November 4, about 25 minutes longer than the film’s initial theatrical issuance. I’m interested to see how this one shakes out. I didn’t find the theatrical iteration of this film to be terribly well paced, but will admit that the “extended” versions of Jackson’s other Tolkienverse pictures have seemed to flow more respectably than their theatrically released versions. Here’s hoping the fortuitous pattern continues with this one.
