Colorado has joined 22 other states and the District of Columbia in a legal fight preserve states’ rights to set environmental standards for automobiles. “We won’t let Washington, D.C. bureaucrats and lawyers interfere with our plans to reduce smog and improve our health in Colorado,” Gov. Jared Polis said in a written statement. The Trump administration has moved to revoke the authority of Colorado and other states to set tougher standards.
