The lawyer of a man accused of kidnapping wants the case dismissed on the grounds of "blatant misconduct" by the lead investigator and a prosecutor, according to court documents obtained Thursday by The Gazette. Both sides have agreed to a private meeting to reach a plea deal in the case against Dustin Paul Nelson, who is accused of second-degree kidnapping and punching a woman over a stolen pack of cigarettes in September 2014, court document shows.
