Updated 09:59 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 Family members of a woman who died in a three-vehicle accident Wednesday say the curving stretch of road east of Bear Creek Pioneers Park is notoriously dangerous. The Corolla driver, Amee Brooks, 40, and a 40-year-old passenger in the Mustang, whose identity has not been released, were flown by helicopter to a Houston hospital where they died. Josh Pines said his wife was returning from a job interview and had phoned him at 5:22 p.m., about 20 minutes before the accident. HPD spokesman John Cannon said the department has investigated a number of accidents on that stretch of roadway that appeared to have been caused by excessive speed.
