Sandhya Khadka, a native of Nepal, left her home country in the past year to come to Seattle where her father lives. She came to the U.S. to attend school. Her dream was to become an accountant. But Monday morning 17 year-old Khadka was struck and killed by a truck, while on her way to school near Northeast 115th Street and Fifth Avenue Northeast in Seattle’s Pinehurst neighborhood.
