PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Urban League of Rhode Island, struggling with its finances, is planning to shut down its men's homeless shelter at the agency's headquarters soon and temporarily close a women's shelter in Elmhurst. The Providence Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1hcPOcu ) Belinda Francis, the Urban League's interim chief executive officer, says she is working with a budget of less than $1 million, compared to $6.1 million six years ago.
