The Transportation Security Administration says a Lynchburg resident was stopped Thursday after a TSA officer operating the checkpoint X-ray machine spotted the loaded 9 millimeter automatic pistol in a carry-on bag. TSA contacted airport police, who arrested the man on a state weapons charge.
