TOLLAND, Conn. (AP) — An accident on Interstate 84 in Tolland has closed the highway in both directions. State police say a car carrying four people went off the eastbound side of the highway and into the woods just before 9 a.m. Thursday. Police say the car overturned and at least two people were thrown from the vehicle. Three helicopters were sent from Connecticut and Massachusetts to take airlift the injured from the scene. There is no word on when the highway will reopen.
