Comment on Five children taken by CPS after traffic stop

The Honda Accord was spotted by an off-duty Houston Police Department officer working a traffic control job in a construction zone when the car passed him in a lane that had been blocked, HPD spokeswoman Jodi Silva said. Child Protective Services has taken custody of the five children pending a foster home placement. Besides the newborn, the others minors are a 5-year-old boy, a 4-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy and a third boy, 21 months.
