Comment on Athens cops get report of dancing naked man and filmed for reality show

A pair of Athens-Clarke County police officers this week made an unexpected appearance in a television show that was being filmed in downtown Athens.One of the officers responded Monday evening to North Jackson Street on a report that a naked man was dancing outside Toppers International Showbar. As it turned out, the man was not completely naked, but was shirtless and wearing boxer shorts.The officer noted in a police incident report that the man appeared to weigh up to 400 pounds and was being blocked by bouncers from entering the strip club.“I attempted to engage the male in conversation and confirm his state of mind,” the officer wrote in his report.
