The city of Jacksonville again is trying to pay $3 million to a boy who was paralyzed because of the city’s neglect, even though Florida law limits the city’s liability to $200,000. The gesture, carried to the Florida Legislature by Sen. Rob Bradley, R-Orange Park, is one of the first filed bills for next year’s state legislative session. read more
