Pintail Landfill, a Dallas-based company, has asked 506th District Court Judge Albert McCaig to move the case for fear that the high-profile nature of the three-year dispute with the City of Hempstead would prevent a fair trial. Opponents argue the 15-story dump project was discussed and moved forward illegally in backroom talks between developer Green Group Holdings and Waller County officials.
