By Diana Baldwin, Staff Writer Edmond Exchange Art collection grows A life-size sculpture of a policeman and a child sitting on a bench created by Colorado bronze artist Gary Alsum has been commissioned by Edmond’s Visual Arts Commission. The $79,250 piece of art will sit outside the city’s new public safety center being constructed in downtown Edmond on the southeast corner of First Street and Littler Avenue. Money for the public safety center sculpture is made available from an ordinance requiring 1 percent of the cost of a major city construction project to be set aside for the inclusion of public art.Read more on NewsOK.com
