It's one of Marvel Studios' riskiest films to date, and film critics are rewarding them for it. James Gunn's fun space opera "Guardians of the Galaxy" has pulled in a 92% and 7.7/10 on Rotten Tomatoes along with a 76/100 Metacritic, making it one of the best scoring wide releases of the year so far. The box-office looks set to reward them too with better than expected early numbers indicating the film is slated to not only surpass its $60-70 million opening weekend estimates, but fly right by them and potentially garner in the $90 million range.
